Who?

I am Sampo Juustila (né Niskanen), a software engineer living in Finland.  I am an avid supporter of Open Source, agile methodologies, clean code, and am always interested in improving my own ways of working.

For my Master’s thesis I developed the model rocket simulator OpenRocket, and currently lead the continuing development efforts of many contributors.  I am an active member in the Finnish Astronautical Society, and especially it’s rocketry activities.

It’s a name, don’t dig into it deeper than that.  It’s a reference to the commercial nature of much of modern software development compared to development driven by pure passion.
